Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

25th Anniversary Celebration!

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will turn twenty five on July 26, 2015.  And a big anniversary deserves a BIG celebration and Holly Ridge Center wants to include YOU!

The ADA Legacy Project envisions a world in which all people are accepted and valued for who and how they are. Where all are welcomed with respect and given equal opportunities to contribute to the human experience.

This project is focused on three things: preserving the history of the disability rights movement; celebrating its milestones; and educating the public and future generations of disability advocates.  They are doing this by partnering with people and organizations, such as Holly Ridge, that are doing great work in these areas.

The ADA Legacy Project website is designed to connect you with these organizations and people, so that know what is happening across the country and in your local community. It will also be a clearinghouse for events that will be going on in 2014 and 2015 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Please visit The ADA Legacy Project website to get updates and learn how you can get involved. We are all part of building the ADA's legacy. How will YOU celebrate?
