Adult Employment Services - Success Stories - Steve

Steve Watson
at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino.

Watson works for
Suquamish Clearwater Casino
where he buses tables and
keeps the buffet supplies well stocked.

Steve Watson graduated from group supported employment to fully independent work in October of 2001. Since then, he's worked independently at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino. His goal was to have a job where he is recognized for his work, has an opportunity to advance and earns a meaningful wage.

Steve achieved his goal and is now working fulltime plus regular overtime. He is respected by his supervisors and is known to be one of the best employees in his department. His dedication to his employer resulted in a great deal of recognition including employee of the quarter for the first quarter of 2003. Steve's customer service skills are enhanced by his ready smile and positive sense of humor. Steve travels from his home in Port Orchard to Suquamish on routed transit each day.

Steve is well liked by his co-workers and appreciated by his customers. At his job, he buses tables, keeps the buffet supplies well stocked, and goes above and beyond his assigned duties to get the job done. He meets each day with enthusiasm and his memorization of his responsibilities allows him to move quickly and easily through his workday.
